TOWNSHIP MANAGER

The Township of South Fayette, PA is seeking applicants for the position of Township Manager.  South Fayette has a population of 14,500, an area of 26 square miles, an annual operating budget of $7.7m, and a workforce of 65 employees.  South Fayette is a full service Township operating under the Pennsylvania First Class Township Code.  A five (5) member Board of Commissioners all elected at large govern the Township.

Minimum requirements for applicants are a master’s degree in public administration or a related field and five (5) years’ experience in a manager or assistant manager position in local government.  Preference will be given to candidates who are ICMA Credentialed Managers and have experience in a similar size growth community.  Core competencies in budgeting and finance management, personnel administration including labor negotiations and relations, and community development skills are necessary and should be demonstrable.  Community outreach skills are highly desirable as are communication and computer skills.
